BMCA’s 25th Anniversary
Barlow Moor Community Association (BMCA) is currently celebrating its 25th Year as a community centre supporting the families of the Merseybank Estate and Chorlton Park Ward.
Barlow Moor Community Association Ltd is a community based independent partnership group working in a deprived area of Manchester. The association was established in response to the concerns of local people and is managed by residents and representatives of local organisations. The centre has developed considerably since its opening with, most significantly, the opening of a purpose-built centre.
BMCA endeavours to provide services that have been lost from the public sector such as; subsidised childcare, benefits help, C.V writing, employability skills, youth clubs and drop in sessions and English, Maths and ICT support. In addition, the centre offers a Health & Wellbeing zone providing a range of services including mental health support, companionship and addressing isolation.
A special Free Family Fun Day event will be held on Thursday 13th April 2017 11am – 3pm together with the ‘Big Lottery Fund’ at the centre on Merseybank Avenue, Chorlton to celebrate 25 years as a Community centre at the heart of Merseybank Estate
Attractions will include;
